Marian High travelled to Massasoit Community College in Brockton for a meet against Cardinal Spellman High Monday.

The Mustangs lost 80-58. Marian is still seeking its first win of the season.

“Both Jacob and Nick swam the event for the first time, while Beth redeemed herself from her first competition two years ago which ended in a DQ. They have become great leaders,” said Morse.

Noah T-Miller placed second in the 200 freestyle with a personal best time of 2:28.24 minutes, said Morse.

This is Marian’s third season with a co-ed swim team. They have less than a dozen swimmers.

The team has just two dual meets left in the season.

Sunday, Marian has a meet against Austin Prep at the Burbank YMCA in Reading.

On January 24, Marian will host St. Mary’s at Regis College at 4 p.m.

Afterwards, the Mustangs, who qualified, will compete in the Central Catholic League Championships on February 6 at the Lynn Tech High School.
