1. Clear skies: Wednesday will be clear in the morning then partly cloudy this afternoon. Highs in the lower 80s.
2. This day in Malden history: Aug. 7, 1934 - 27 men and 13 women arrested for picketing the Gregory and Read Wood Heel Co. and encouraging employees there to unionize are arraigned in court today. Malden Police vow to continue enforcing an order banning picketing at the open shop.
3. Free movie night: Check out this screening of Skyfall at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Malden Public Library.

4. “Keeps it Real Band,” does: Check out this video from Tuesday’s performance of the “Keeps it Real Band,” part of the Mayor’s Summer Concert Series.
5. Sullivan Family Blood Drive: The annual blood drive, held in honor of Melrose firefighter Neil Sullivan, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at VFW Post 2394. The Sullivan family organizes the event every year after Neil’s life was saved by 23 blood transfusions in 2005, following injuries he sustained responding to a three-alarm fire.
