Armed Robbery Reported at Eastern Ave. Hess

Police confirmed scanner reports that a Broadway Hess gas station was robbed around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The suspect was described as a black male, 5'9", with a mustache and wearing a winter jacket with a black hood, winter hat and prescription glasses. 

He presented a black gun to the cashier, collected an undisclosed sum of money and fled the scene on foot, Lt. Det. Marc Gatcomb said. 

"We're still searching and checking video" for clues, Gatcomb said in a text message from the scene around 7:00pm.
