Coronavirus Vaccine Site Opens At Encore Casino Tuesday
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission said the clinic will be available to both employees and the public.
EVERETT, MA — A COVID-19 vaccination clinic opens at Encore Boston Harbor Tuesday. The clinic will be located in one of the casino's ballrooms, a space that has been under-utilized during the pandemic, Loretta Lillio, director of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission's Investigations and Enforcement Bureau, said Monday.
The clinic will be run by the Cambridge Health Alliance. Lillio said she believes it will be appointment-only to start, but both employees and the public are eligible for shots.
Encore was not yet included on the state's vaccine-finder website Tuesday morning. Until it is added, appointments may be made by calling 617-665-2100.

Lillios praised the state's three casinos for their adherence to health and safety protocols at a Massachusetts Gaming Commission meeting Monday.
"They really haven't let up," Lillios said.
