Counterfeit Bills, Drugs Reportedly Found After Assault Arrest

Officers said an Everett man fleeing from an alleged knife attack allegedly had a scale, drugs and five counterfeit bills in his car.

Police said a violent domestic confrontation led to the arrest of an Everett man for alleged assault, drug distribution and counterfeit charges. 

Daniel McCormack, of 18 Villa Ave. in Everett, was arrested for alleged assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, class D drug possession with intention to distribute and possession of counterfeit notes. 

Lt. Det. Marc Gatcomb said McCormack was allegedly fleeing the scene of a fight with an ex-girlfriend's new partner around 10 a.m. on April 2.

McCormack allegedly swung a knife at the man, and later attempted to hit him with his car.
