Fall Storytime Registration for Preschoolers Open at Malden Public Library

1. Sign up: Fall storytime registration for preschoolers (ages 3-5) kicked off on Tuesday at Malden Public Library, according to the library website. The program, which features crafts, songs, rhymes and picture books, begins Thursday, Sept. 19 with Mayor Gary Christenson reading to the children, and it will run from 10:30-11:30 a.m. every Thursday through Oct. 31. To register, call 781-388-0803 or sign-up in the Children's Room.

2. In case you missed it:
 There was a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday at the Allstate office in Malden.

3. Mixed forecast: Scattered showers are likely before noon on Thursday before eventually clearing, according to the forecast for Malden on the National Weather Service website. During the day, temperatures may hit a high of about 71 and an overnight low of 48, according to the forecast.
