Former Revere Beach Pizzeria Staple Bianchi's Moving North

The popular pizzeria, which recently closed after nearly seven decades on Revere Beach, apparently has a new home in mind.

LYNN, MA — Here's to the next seven decades? Bianchi's, which closed after nearly 70 years building a rabid fanbase on Revere Beach, looks like it'll soon have a new home.

The popular pizzeria plans to reopen in Lynn, as first reported by Boston Restaurant Talk. The website cites documents from a Lynn licensing board showing that the now-shuttered JD's Sports Bar on Lewis Street is looking to swap its license to Bianchi's.

Revere Beach foodies haven't been completely without Bianchi's pizza pies. The pizzeria moved its ovens to nearby Renzo's after it closed due to an apartment development at its original site.

The Lynn Item reported this summer that Bianchi's had planned on staying on Revere Beach, where its first restaurant opened in 1952.
