"The Malden Police Department is extremely pleased to welcome these very qualified officers into our ranks. They come to us with a great amount of professional and personal experience along with individual backgrounds that will greatly enhance our public safety mission,” said Police Chief Kevin Molis in a press release.
The four new officers are James McCusker, Jonathan Mahoney, Elijah McNeal and David Connelly. The new members of the department came from area police departments and the Reading Police Academy.
"I’m pleased to welcome our new officers to the Department,” said Mayor Christenson in a press release. “Hiring additional police officers and the safety of our City has been a top priority. I’m grateful to the City Council for their support in hiring more officers.”
