Halloween Fun Run Set for Sunday in Malden

The eighth annual Friends of Oak Grove 5K Haunt Jaunt gets underway on Sunday, Oct. 20 at the Oak Grove Community Building in Malden, according to an event posting on Malden Patch.

The run, sponsored by Malden Taxi and the Dockside Restaurant, starts at 10 a.m.; however, registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Oak Grove Community Building, 6 Grove St.

The event starts and ends at the Oak Grove Community Building and loops around the Wyoming and Forestdale cemeteries. Awards will be given out for all categories, as well as best costume for a participant.

Demonstrations, music and entertainment are planned for the event.

Registration costs $20, and there will be a post-race buffer, courtesy of Dockside Restaurant in Malden.
