How To Dispose Of Old Trash, Recycling Bins In Malden
As the city rolls out new carts for the Pay as You Throw choice program, here's how you can get rid of your old bins.
MALDEN, MA — The city will collect old trash and recycling bins next month as part of its rollout of new carts for the Pay as You Throw choice program.
Residents will have the opportunity to dispose of their old 18-gallon recycling bins or any barrels/bins that they previously used for trash or recycling. These may be placed on the curb on residents' trash day the week of May 15-21 for collection by JRM.
Resident are asked to turn the bins upside-down and attach a label that can be printed and affixed to the old carts. This label can be downloaded and printed from the city's website at cityofmalden.org/trash.

The old bins may be reused for storage, so residents are encouraged to keep them if they have another use for them. However, they will be taken away if they are continually placed at the curb.
