Linden School 'Safe and Sound' After Knife Incident
A student reportedly had a knife at the school that was intercepted by administrators.

School officials confirmed that a student was in possession of a knife on the Linden School campus Wednesday, but that another student's tip allowed administrators to quickly confiscate the weapon.
The student acknowledged carrying a knife and surrendered it to Principal Richard Bransfield, Superintendent DeRuosi said. A subsequent locker search turned up no other contraband.
"This was a good example of something small that has blown up bigger than it ever meant to be," DeRuosi said.Â

Both Bransfield and DeRuosi said the students and faculty deserved praise for acting within emergency protocol and reporting the incident to administrators.Â
"That's what we encourage students to do," DeRuosi said. "If you hear or see something, tell somebody."Â
