To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we asked Patch readers to write a love letter to that special someone and let us deliver it. This is Richard LaMonica’s love letter to his wife, Patricia:
"I wrote this poem more than 30 years ago while we were dating and I was in the Army. We married in 1988. She had four children I had three and we merged families. The kids were our wedding party."

Dedicated to my loving wife, Patricia
For you my love’s eternal deep
For you my love it knows no sleep
You mean the very world to me
Life without you I can’t see
My days are nil without you dear
These arms they long to hold you near
For you my love you’re everything
Yes you’re the reason my heart sings
For you my love I face the day
For you my eyes will ne’er go stray
For you my love can do no wrong
For you my love I’ll sing all songs
In my life as long as I live
I pledge to you my world I’ll give
And when my life begins to fade
And as my soul it leaves that day
The thought of you I’ll always keep
For you my love eternal deep
--Richard M. LaMonica Sr.
