MALDEN, MA — The Malden Cultural Council is inviting organizations, schools and individuals to apply for grants that support local cultural activities. The application period opens Oct. 1 and runs until Nov. 16.
These grants may support a variety of projects and activities that advance the arts, humanities and sciences, including exhibits, festivals, field trips, short-term artist residencies, performances in schools, workshops and lectures.

Led by municipally appointed volunteers, LCCs award over $3 million every year, supporting more than 5,000 cultural programs that include everything from field trips to lectures, festivals, and dance performances.
