Malden Driver Struck Pedestrian On Route 99: Police
Police said the driver did not see the man, who was crossing the street in a wheelchair near a green light.
SAUGUS, MA — A Malden woman was behind the wheel of a car that struck a Revere man on Route 99 Thursday morning, police said.
The collision happened around 11:45 a.m. in Saugus. The 60-year-old man, who uses a wheelchair, was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
The extent of his injuries is unknown, police said.

The driver, 74 years old, did not see the man when she turned left out of a parking lot, police said. The man crossed the road near a traffic light, which was green, and there was no crosswalk or pedestrian light in the area, police said.
The driver remained at the scene.
