Malden Farmers Market Grows This Year

Ready for this year's Farmers' Market? 

The popular event's third year brings all kinds of crafts and locally-produced food to Malden Center, including produce, fish and sweets. 

The fun begins from 3 to 6:30 p.m. on every Tuesday from June 25 through Sept. 24, right next to city hall.

This year's participants include Flats Mentor Farm in Lancaster (Asian and African vegetables), Busa Farm in Lexington (fruits, herbs, and flowers), JannaBee’s from the Medford/Malden area (artisan dessert maker), and Malden’s own Piantadosi  Bakery. 

Other vendors will make featured appearances throughout the summer, including a pasta maker, cupcake maker, and chocolatier.

The market has grown - in 2011, only four vendors participated in a short, trial-run of the program.
