Here are recent arrests made by Malden Police:

Malden Man Accused of Assault, B&E

At 2:24 a.m. Sept. 16, Malden Police responded to a Main Street apartment for a report of screams. 

David Laspada, of 185 Main St., Malden, was arrested and charged with assault and battery, assault and battery on a person over 60 and a felony count of daytime breaking and entering. 

"Upon arrival police interviewed persons involved. The arrested demanded to be let in the apartment of the victim, who he was an acquaintance of," said Det. Lt. Marc Gatcomb, adding that there was a witness to part of the incident. "The arrested (allegedly) forced his way through the apartment door, damaging the frame." 

The victim was an 89-year-old man, who declined medical treatment, according to Gatcomb.

Sept. 14

4:45 a.m.: Police responded to Walgreens on Centre on a medical aid-related call. Brian Furtado, of 3 Berry Place, Peabody, was arrested and charged with larceny under $250 through false pretense.

1:23 p.m.: Police conducted a general investigation on the Milton and Salem Streets area. Tammy King, of 212 Ferry, Everett, was arrested.

Sept. 15

11:20 a.m.: Police responded to New Englander Motor Court on Broadway Street for a report of vandalism. Danny Marckini, of 59 Reed Ave., Everett, was arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property over $250.
