Malden Man Accused of Drunk Driving for Fifth Time

Here are arrests made by Malden Police between Dec. 4-8:

Malden Man Accused of Drunk Driving for Fifth Time

At 5:42 p.m. Dec. 4, Malden Police responded to a motor vehicle accident causing property damage on Pearl Street near MacDonald Stadium. Christopher Thomas, of 54 Crescent Ave., Malden, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor, fifth offense, and operating a vehicle with a suspended license for operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

Dec. 7

5:58 p.m.: Police were called to Magnolia Street to conduct a follow-up investigation. Todd Matalavage, of 401 Tiffany St., Attleboro, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.  

Dec. 6

10:06 p.m.: Police responded to Main Street near Citizens Bank on a report of suspicious activity. Tanya Morris, of 110 Pleasant St., Malden, was arrested.

Dec. 5

2:06 p.m.: Police made a motor vehicle stop on Pleasant Street. Jacquelyn Moriarty, of 139 North St., Stoneham, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended license and failing to yield.

4:51 p.m.: Police responded to Highland Avenue to serve papers. Jonathan Murphy, of 396 Highland Ave., Malden, was arrested.

5:42 p.m.: Police were called to Main Street to restore public peace. Allan Omondi, of 1040 Main St., Malden, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.

Dec. 4

12:23 p.m.: Police conducted a general investigation on Summer Street. Antonio McGee, of 468 Columbia Road, Dorchester, was arrested.

12:33 p.m.: Police made a motor vehicle stop on Cross Street. Jason Savarino, of 21 Chatham St., Malden, was arrested and charged with possession of an illegal knife and resisting arrest.

1:41 p.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Pleasant Street. Salvatore Mele, of 9 Winn Park, Woburn, was arrested and charged with distributing a class B drug and possession to distribute a class B drug.

3:43 p.m.: Police investigated a report of a motor vehicle theft in the Tremont Street area. Richard Burdick, of 22 Marble St., Stoneham, was arrested and charged with possession of a class A drug.
