Malden Man Charged With Murder Of Yale Grad Student

New Haven, CT police have issued an arrest warrant for Qinxuan Pan in the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Kevin Jiang. Pan remains at large.

MALDEN, MA — An warrant has been obtained for the arrest of Malden resident Qinxuan Pan on the charge of murder, police in New Haven, CT said Saturday. Pan is accused of fatally shooting 26-year-old Kevin Jiang, a Yale graduate student.

Pan, 29, remains at large, police said. More information is expected to be released Monday.

Pan was previously a person of interest in the killing of Jiang, who was fatally shot Feb. 6 in the East Rock neighborhood of New Haven.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to Pan's capture. He should be considered "armed and dangerous," the U.S. Marshals said.

Pan is a graduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was last seen driving with family members in Georgia, authorities said.
