Malden Man Pleads Guilty to Killing Husband
Michael Losee, 41, pleaded guilty to a charge of voluntary manslaughter and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He faces up to 20 years in prison and ten years probation.

A Malden man pleaded guilty to a charge of voluntary manslaughter in connection with the death of his husband, the Middlesex District Attorney's office announced Thursday.Â
Michael Losee, 42, of Malden, pleaded guilty in Middlesex Superior Court to voluntary manslaughter and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
He was sentenced to 19-20 years in prison, followed by 10 years of probation.Â

According to the DA’s office, Losee called and confessed to a friend in Florida after stabbing his husband, Brian Bergeron, 55, to death in their Clarendon St. home in 2011.Â
"This defendant has now admitted and taken responsibility for his role in a troubling episode of domestic violence which resulted in the death of his spouse," District Attorney Leone said.Â

"Domestic violence is not about gender, it is about power and control, and our office will continue to work with our partners in the community in an effort to prevent tragic domestic violence incidents, such as this, from occurring while also serving and protecting victims."
