MALDEN, MA — Santa Claus will take time out of his busy schedule at the North Pole to visit his Malden headquarters at Pine Banks Park this year. The city will host a drive-thru event to meet Santa Saturday, Dec. 19 from 1-3 p.m. Attendees will be required to wear a mask.

This is Santa's 71st annual trip to see the good boys and girls of Malden and Melrose. Frosty the Snowman, Rudolf, Christmas Bear, Olaf and Elmo will also be in the park to wish everyone a happy holiday season.

Park Superintendent Andrew Walsh and the Pine Banks staff are busy preparing for Santa's visit. Councillor Barbara Murphy and the Ward 5 elves will be handing out candy canes and collecting letters for Santa. Mrs. Claus has been busy in her kitchen and will serve delicious hot chocolate and cookies for all to enjoy at home.
