Malden Plans Free Parking Program To Bolster Local Business
The city will offer free parking for up to four hours through a validation program for Malden Center businesses.

MALDEN, MA — A new parking validation program designed to bolster local businesses will go into effect Monday, May 10.
Businesses in Malden Center will be able to validate parking for their customers for up to four hours at no cost. Participating businesses received their validation booklets this week and will start to display the ParkMalden 4-Hour Validation decals in their windows.
Here's how the program works: park in either the Central Business District (CBD) Parking Garage at 170 Centre Street, or at Jackson Street Parking Garage at 7 Jackson Street, patronize a business displaying the ParkMalden 4-Hour Validation window decals in its window and present your garage parking ticket to receive a validation sticker allowing you to extend your stay downtown.

The program will run Monday through Friday, as the garages are free on weekends.
"We wanted to show our appreciation for our businesses that made it through this last year by removing any barriers for their customers to come back," Mayor Gary Christenson said in a statement. "With this new 4-hour program, customers have more reason to stay awhile and rediscover all the different businesses in Malden Center."
