MALDEN, MA – Malden's Police Chief has spoken out following the conviction of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd, saying the department will continue to listen to residents' concerns.
Wednesday afternoon, Police Chief Kevin Molis posted a video to the department's Facebook page sharing his thoughts following the conviction.
"To those who suffer deep pain, suffering and loss, the word justice will always have an emptiness because of the void that cannot ever be filled by our laws and by our courts," he said.
