Malden Power Outage Update: Hundreds Still In The Dark

MALDEN, MA — Hundreds of customers in Malden remain without power Friday morning. According to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency, 495 customers – 2 percent of those served in Malden – are still in the dark.

At their peak, outages exceeded 1,000 in Malden. Much of the outages were due to downed trees and wires around the city.

Authorities in nearby communities said Thursday priority was given to public safety issues like downed wires and arching sidewalks.
