Malden Restaurant Unique To Area Has Closed

The Main Street eatery said it could not "bounce back" from the coronavirus shutdown.

MALDEN, MA — A Malden restaurant that specialized in a hard-to-find type of food has closed. The team behind Infused Kreyol announced on Facebook that the restaurant could not recover from the coronavirus shutdown.

"We're heartbroken that we are permanently closing our restaurant," the post stated. "We were hoping to bounce back even stronger but unfortunately that's not possible at this time. Please know that this was a difficult decision but it is out of our control. It has been a very challenging time for us, especially with deciding to re-opening. We will miss you all and will provide updates of any future plans. Thank you for your support!"

The restaurant first opened in 2018, serving a Haitian-Dominican fusion cuisine that is unique to the Boston area, according to Boston Restaurant Talk, which first reported the closure. The menu included pulled pork with rice and plantains, Haitian fried pork, puff pastries with meat fillings and more.
