Among the highlights of the current three-match unbeaten run, Michael Bustamante scored in two consecutive matches, making him the team’s joint top scorer with three goals and has dominated the midfield. Forward Yaw Addow, who has also found the net three times this season, has become a force when coming off the substitutes’ bench, while strike partner Jhonata Batista’s relentless running makes him the team’s assists leader. Teenage goalkeeper Victor Scariot has emerged as the first choice between the posts for the Lions and made two crucial saves to deny the Cosmos an equalizer last week.
The home stand continues on Wednesday night with the visit of Kingston Stockade to Malden Catholic, kickoff 8 p.m.
