Malden's Donut Villa Eyes Cambridge Expansion

MALDEN, MA — A Malden diner specializing in donuts is planning a second location in Cambridge. Donut Villa Diner is looking to move into the former home of The Field in Cambridge's Central Square, Cambridge Day reported.

The Field, an Irish pub, closed in July after 25 years. Donut Villa's proposal includes seating for 60 people inside and 24 outside on Prospect Street, Cambridge Day reported.

Donut Villa features diner fare, including vegan dishes, and a hearty selection of donuts. The restaurant is more than 40 years old and changed owners a few years back, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
