A Holyoke man pleaded guilty to a charge of manslaughter in connection with a previously unsolved 1983 homicide at the Town Line Motel in 1983.

A Holyoke man pleaded guilty to a charge of manslaughter in connection with a previously unsolved 1983 homicide, the Middlesex District Attorney's office announced Thursday.
Shawn Marsh, 48, of Holyoke, pleaded guilty to a single charge of manslaughter for the killing of Rodney C. Wyman, then 29, of Simsbury, Connecticut. He was sentenced to 15-18 years in prison.
District Attorney Marian Ryan praised investigators, "who pursued every lead and every new technological advance" in solving the 30 year old case, including the use of an advanced fingerprinting database.
Wyman was reportedly found shot at the Town Line Motel on Aug. 22, 1983.
