Here are five things going on in Malden from Sept. 30-Oct. 6:
1. The Malden Fall Fest runs from 12-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at Fellsmere Pond at Route 60, Fellsway East and Savin Street, according to the city website. Music, food, fishing and a kids fun zone are planned for the event. Tickets cost $1, while admission to the chili tent is $5.
2. The Malden Problem Properties Unit meets at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 in the Mayor's Conference Room at Malden Government Center, according to the city website.
3. A Malden Board of Assessors session is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 in Room 317 at Malden Government Center, according to the city website.
4. The Malden City Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 in the City Council Chamber at Malden Government Center, according to the city website.
5. Malden City Council Committees meet at various times on Tuesday, Oct. 1 in the City Council Chamber at Malden Government Center. Here is the schedule, according to the city website:
