Monday Essentials: School Kicks Off This Week for Malden Public Schools

Here is a sampling of five things going on from Aug. 26-30 in Malden:

1. The first day of school for pre-kindergarten through eighth grade students of Malden Public Schools is Tuesday, Aug. 27, according to the Malden Public Schools website.

2. The first day of school for Malden High School students is Wednesday, Aug. 28, according to the Malden Public Schools website.

3. There is no school for Malden Public Schools students on Friday, Aug. 30 in observance of Labor Day, according to the Malden Public Schools website.

4. The Malden Housing Authority meets at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27 in the Community Room at the Executive Office, according to the city website.

5. The Malden Site Plan Review Committee is set to meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Room 223 at Malden Government Center, according to the city website.
