Free Movie Night

Join us for Movie Night on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, from 6:00-8:00pm at the Malden Public Library. We will be showing a recent documentary about Apollo 11 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, July 20, 1969. Rolling Stone writes of the movie, “It is a revelation….” This movie is part of our Summer Reading program, “A Universe of Stories.”

“From director Todd Douglas Miller comes a cinematic event 50 years in the making…the film takes viewers straight to the heart of NASA’s most celebrated mission, the one that first put men on the moon, and forever made Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin into household names.”

RogerEbert.com writes “Apollo 11 isn’t like other documentaries about the first moon mission. In fact it isn’t like most other movies period.” Rolling Stone adds, “This doesn’t just feel like a movie. It gives you the sensation that you’ve been transported right into the middle of history.”
