New Offices Will Bring 350+ Workers to Downtown Malden
Both East Boston Savings Bank and the Cambridge Health Alliance will be opening offices at 350 Main Street, bringing millions in renovations to the building and more signs of downtown development in Malden Center.
Two major businesses announced new Malden offices that will bring hundreds of employees to the city's growing downtown, with executives touting the city as a prime place to do business.Â
Both East Boston Savings Bank and Cambridge Health Alliance will bring about 350 positions to the corporate offices at 350 Main St., officials announced at a press conference Thursday.Â
The Bank had already moved about 50 employees into the offices. Cambridge Health Alliance is expected to move into the facility sometime next year, after millions in renovations to the building to accomodate them.Â

The event was part of a state-wide tour by state Housing and Economic Development Sec. Greg Bialecki highlighting "ideal locations to live, work and play" in the commonwealth.Â
He noted the 500 new apartments in Malden Center slated to break ground this year, as well as the city's proximity to Boston, public transportation and a growing restaurant scene.Â

"We're pledging to do everything we can...to make sure people choose Massachusetts, and that they see Malden as another reason they should stay," he told reporters.Â
East Boston Savings Bank Chairman and CEO Richard Gavegnano and Cambridge Health Alliance Asst. General Counsel Andy Fuqua were also on hand.Â
