Next Malden Superintendent To Be Named This Month
In February, the search was narrowed down to three finalists. The School Committee is expected to nominate its candidate March 15.
MALDEN, MA — The Malden School Committee is expected vote on the next superintendent of schools March 15. The Screening Committee last month selected three finalists from a pool of 37 candidates.
Dr. Margo Ferrick, deputy superintendent of the Southbridge Public Schools; Lori Gallivan, executive director of Curriculum, Instruction and Accountability for the Winthrop Public Schools; and Ligia Noriega-Murphy, assistant superintendent on assignment as the K-8 Jackson Mann Principal in the Boston Public Schools, are up for the role.
Superintendent John Oteri is not seeking a contract renewal at the end of the school year, Mayor Gary Christenson announced at the Nov. 23 School Committee meeting.
