No Bail for Malden Stabbing Suspect

Amber Rabelo, 24, of Malden was charged with armed assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

A Malden woman charged with the stabbing of a man found outside of Elmwood Pharmacy was held without bail Monday, pending a pre-trial conference in May. 

Amber Rabelo, 24 of 349 Pleasant St. faces charges of alleged armed assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. 

Police said they received a report of a stabbing victim on Pleasant Street around 5 a.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival, they found a victim suffering from two puncture wounds. 

Detectives under Lt. Det. Marc Gatcomb "were able to conduct a thorough investigation, establish the probable cause necessary for the issuance of an arrest warrant and execute a timely arrest," a press release from the department read.

The victim was transported to Mass General Hospital Sunday and was released Monday.
