After Selfridge identified himself as a police officer, Gatcomb said the suspect got into his vehicle and fled the scene. He was later arrested in Woburn Monday.Â
"By quickly intervening and activating himself, Officer Selfridge most likely prevented  injury to the victim, and assisted with compiling and disseminating a quick and accurate description to help locate the suspect," Gatcomb wrote.Â
