One Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash in Malden
One person was injured in a three-vehicle accident on Route 1 South at Salem Street Monday afternoon in Malden.

One person was injured in a three-vehicle accident on Route 1 southbound at Salem Street Monday afternoon in Malden, according to a fire official.
At about 12:30 p.m. Oct. 28, emergency crews responded to the crash site, according to Deputy Fire Chief Leonard Dunn III. Malden Police blocked off a couple nearby streets immediately following the accident, according to Det. Lt. Marc Gatcomb.
"Malden firefighters (used) the Jaws of Life to free a person from their vehicle after an accident at (the) state highway at Route 1," Dunn said, adding that two sedans and a SUV were involved in the crash.
A male, who suffered minor injuries, was transported by Cataldo EMS to a local hospital, according to Dunn. Police confirmed the injured party sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
All three vehicles were towed from the scene, according to Gatcomb.
Police are currently compiling an accident report, as the incident remains under investigation.
