Pedestrian Struck on Ferry Street Near Malden-Everett Line
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Ferry Street in Malden Thursday morning, according to police.

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Ferry Street near the Malden-Everett line Thursday morning, according to police.Â
Around 11:30 a.m. Oct. 17, emergency crews responded to the "400 block" of Ferry Street for a report of a hit-and-run accident, according to Police Chief Kevin Molis. The suspect was reportedly driving a brown or tan-colored pickup truck from Malden into Everett.
"A vehicle struck a pole, a hydrant and a person," Molis said. "The (suspect) left the area and was subsequently located and taken into custody" by Everett Police. Molis did not have the suspect's information immediately available.
As of 12:25 p.m., Everett Police were in the process of booking the suspect but couldn't provide any additional information at that time.
The victim was a woman, according to reports on Twitter, but Molis didn't have additional information about the pedestrian and their current condition.Â
The incident remains under investigation by police.
