Alleged Drug Dealer's House Alarm Leads to His Arrest

Officers said they found a kicked in front door - as well as bags of cocaine and marijuana - while responding to a house alarm in a Gale Street home Wednesday,

A Malden man is under arrest after police said a seemingly routine breaking and entering call instead led to a drug bust Wednesday. 

Tedros A. Hishe, 24, of Malden, was arrested for alleged possession of a Class D substance (marijuana) with intent to distribute, as well as trafficking in cocaine. 

Police said they made the arrest after responding to a house alarm call around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on Gale Street.

There, they found the front door open with "obvious fresh damage," Capt. John Amirault wrote in an e-mail.  

Officers found no burglers as they swept the premises, but "quickly observed an amount of drugs within the apartment."

After securing a search warrant, police conducted a further investigation and reportedly recovered "a significant amount" of marijuana and cocaine.

Hishe was arrested as he returned to his apartment during the search, Amirault said.
