Popular Malden Bakery Undergoing Renovations
Rumors of Piantedosi Baking Company's closure cropped up as renovations began on its Commercial Street space.
MALDEN, MA — A popular Malden bakery will see upgrades over the next three years. Piantedosi Baking Company, which moved to Malden in 1975 and now operates three locations, is updating its Commercial Street building, according to Wicked Local. It will also implement internal and technological upgrades.
Vice President Joe Piantedosi told Wicked Local rumors of the bakery's closure, which popped up as renovations started, are unfounded. The bakery has been run by the Piantedosi family for more than a century.
Piantedosi's offers over 250 items and boasts a clientele of both small businesses and larger chains like Market Basket.
