Power Restored to National Grid Customers in Malden

Power has been restored to all National Grid customers in Malden on Thursday, according to a company spokesman.

From 10:20 a.m. to 11:46 a.m. Oct. 17, 1,046 National Grid customers were without power, according to Jake Navarro, a spokesman for National Grid. He added that multiple crews worked to restore power to customers in the city.

The City of Malden Twitter account claimed that the outages took place in the "Edgeworth section of Malden," but Navarro didn't have the specific location of where the outages took place immediately available.

There may have been a problem with an unground cable, but the cause of the power outages is currently being investigated, according to Navarro.
