Honor Local Acts of Kindness on the New "Malden Compliments" Page
Has a neighbor helped you out? Did an anonymous stranger come to the rescue? You can give their good deed a taste of the spotlight on a new Facebook page dedicated to honoring kindness in the city.

Has a fellow Maldonian done something nice for you lately? Has a friend impressed you with their generosity, kindness or just plain good vibes?
Now you can honor them before your neighbors on "Malden Compliments," a new Facebook page dedicated to recognizing the little (and not-so-little) acts of kindness often overlooked in the city.Â
The page, created by Malden Patch editor Chris Caesar, is similar to other "Compliments", seen mostly on college campuses.

"Right after the blizzard, six good samaritans spent over 30 minutes getting my friend's car unstuck from a ginormous snowbank," Diana Gentile wrote. "Thank you guys! You spared him a tow, and saved Saturday night. :)"

"The snow in Malden a couple of weeks ago was something else, my twin boys and I were trying to get to the YMCA - on foot," Rachel B. posted. Â "Not an easy task with a double-stroller and high snowbanks everywhere. I had to fold up my stroller and try to wrangle both kids trying to cross at a light at Mountain Avenue.Â
"I was literally trying to throw my stroller over a snowbank when a DPW worker stopped traffic in his truck, got out and lifted one of my kids over the snowbank and helped us cross the street. Cars were honking and he kept helping us until we were safely on the other side of the street. Thanks guy from the DPW:) Malden has a heart."
