MA Power Outages: Nearly 3,000 In Dark

A storm has knocked out power in areas around the state.

Nearly 3,000 across Massachusetts were without power overnight after thunderstorms rolled across the state Wednesday evening. No injuries have been reported, but lightning strikes in Dracut and Weston reportedly struck residences.

The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency said 2,835 were without power at midnight. Hopkinton was the hardest-hit town with more than 800 in the dark, while more than 500 in Grafton didn't have power.

Storms were expected to continue into Thursday.
