'Small' Uptick Of COVID Cases In Malden Schools: Superintendent
So far this year, there has been no in-school transmission of the coronavirus, Superintendent Oteri said.
MALDEN, MA — There has been a "small increase" in the number of positive COVID-19 cases in Malden schools over the past week, Superintendent John Oteri said Tuesday.
So far this year, there has been no in-school transmission of the coronavirus, Oteri said. Whenever there is a positive case, the director of nursing and school nurses work with the Malden Board of Health to conduct contact tracing.
"We ask that our students and staff continue to keep up the good work when it comes to wearing masks, social distancing, and following all our other health and safety measures," Oteri said in a statement. "It is through these important efforts that we will be able to continue in-person learning this school year."
