Three Malden Police Officers Sworn in at City Hall

A trio of new Malden Police officers were recently sworn in at City Hall.

Three new Malden Police officers were recently sworn in at City Hall, according to a city press statement.

Mayor Gary Christenson, Police Commissioner Salvatore Gennetti and Police Chief Kevin Molis participated in the swearing-in ceremony on Monday. Officers Joshua Redmond, Sean Hussey and George Lopez were sworn in, with family members and fellow officers in attendance.

The new recruits have recently finished their training at the Boylston Police Academy and are ready for duty, reads the statement.

"I’m pleased to welcome our new officers," Christenson said in the statement. "Hiring new police officers and the safety of our city is a top priority and I’m pleased to have them on board."
