VIDEO: Vote for Linden Teacher Mr. Hansen in "Great American Teach Off"
Michael Hansen is participating in the "Great American Teach Off," where readers can vote on their favorite K-6 teacher. The winner receives a $10,000 grant for their classroom.
A sixth grade science teacher at Linden School has been nominated in a teaching contest that could win his classroom a $10,000 grant, though he'll need to win an online vote against other educators across the country.
Michael Hansen submitted this video emphasizing his commitment to education and the hands-on learning philosophies of the "innovation school."Â
"The things we're doing aren't things that aren't being done in our classrooms," Hansen said in the video. "Our curriculum is still the science curriculum - at the end of the year, our students should know the things they're supposed to know.
