WATCH: Young Swan Released Back Into Wild In Malden
Police and a Malden resident who helped rehabilitate the injured swan released it into the Malden River Thursday.
MALDEN, MA — It was a happy ending for a young swan that was found injured in Malden. A "good citizen," Linda Amato, helped restore the bird to good health, according to police.
Amato and police officers released the swan into the Malden River Thursday. The goal is for it to be reunited with its mother.
"As you can see from the video the swan is happy to be free again," police wrote on Facebook.

Amato cautioned anyone who comes across an injured animal not to touch it and call Animal Control.
