Weekend Agenda: Harvest Moon Festival, Tasting Event and More Happening in the Malden Area

Looking to do something this weekend in the Malden area? If so, here is a sampling of five activities slated for Sept. 14-15:

1. The ninth annual Harvest Moon Festival is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at Fellsmere Pond in Malden, according to an event posting on Malden Patch.

2. Apothic will be having a tasting event from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at Kappy's Fine Wine & Spirits in Malden, according to the liquor store's Facebook page.

3. There will be Irish music, performed by Tony Goblin and Eamon Coyne, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at Hugh O'Neill's, according to the restaurant's website. Also playing music will be DJ Greg Wymer. There will be no cover charge.

4. Help feed the hungry of Malden by volunteering at The King's Table's weekly community gathering from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15 at 213-219 Main St., according to the Malden Chamber of Commerce website.

5. There will be a fundraising outdoor bootcamp to benefit the homeless from 8-9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at East Knoll Park in Melrose, according to the Malden Chamber of Commerce website. Melrose Boot Camp will lead the exercises and the funds raised will go to Housing Families to help the homeless.
