Who Are the 22 Malden Runners in the Boston Marathon?

MALDEN, MA — That bib number is more than just a number for those who run the Boston Marathon.

Many run in memory of a loved one, raising money for a cause that helps keep that person alive for them. Others sign up for the legendary race for health, a challenge for their mind, body and spirit. And others are professional runners who are in it to win it.

Whatever the reason, it's a challenge that is meaningful, and one that requires training all year that will help them make it the 26.2 miles of the historic Hopkinton-to-Boston route.

The following is the list of 22 runners from Malden who are signed up to participate in the 122d Boston Marathon, set for Monday, April 17.
