Malden City Councillor David D'Arcangelo told the Boston Globe's Jarret Bencks this week that the city should start reaching out developers now.

The councillor-at-large will introduce a resolution at Tuesday night's council meeting, requesting the board reach out to Wynn in a formal letter.Â
"I'm really just trying to be proactive here and be ahead of the curve," D'Arcangelo told the Globe. "I want to to know: We're here, we have something to offer, and let's see how we could work together, if it gets selected."Â
"We're not siding with one proposal or another, we just want them to know we're willing to work together."
Mayor Gary Christenson has also expressed concerns about the project.Â
Of course, it's not a done deal yet: Wynn is one of three developers seeking a casino license in the Boston area.
The law also requires giving Everett residents the opportunity to weigh in on the project through the ballot box.Â
