Deacon Kevin Martin who had earlier prayed for the safety of the walkers having celebrated mass with Fr. Michael joined the walkers as did good friend of the school State Senator Walter F.Timilty ,who stated how proud he is of the students making particular reference to alumni Thalia Etienne ,one of the founders of the walk ,now a sophomore in college who during her high school years, had interned in his office.

The rain which had caused the cancellation of various outdoor events the day before held off and a cool crisp day perfect for walking was on hand.
