Bike Destroyed in Fire Replaced by Milton Firefighters
A group of Milton firefighters recently helped a teen get a new bike after a house fire took his old one.

A teen’s bike destroyed by a house fire has been replaced by a group to Milton firefighters.
As WHDH reported, the firefighters took up a collection after Alex Merrill lost his favorite possession in the fire.
“We just felt like it was the right thing to do,” Kelly said.

According to Milton Firefighter Kevin Kelly said, Merrill asked the firefighters to go back for his bike on the night of his fire, but when the bike was discovered, it was nearly melted.
Merrill recently received his new bike, a 20-speed hybrid bike.
